Software Update
Octet RED Software Version 5.2 Released December 2008
John Proctor, Ph.D. Product Manager, Biosensors and Software, ForteBio Inc.
Octet software version 5.2 for Octet RED users offers a range of new data analysis features and some improvements to version 5.1 features, enabling a more streamlined and flexible data analysis workflow. These features provide more options to the end-user for analyzing and visualizing data produced on the Octet platform. As a preview, here is a brief description of some of the new features.
When viewing raw data, users can now select and align that raw data by any step in the data (baseline, association, dissociation etc.) prior to processing the data for analysis. Similarly, the user now has more processed data alignment options. Processed data can now be aligned on the y axis using either the baseline, association or dissociation step as the reference step. When it comes to the final analysis, data can now be excluded from processing to allow for a more directed kinetic analysis of only the most relevant data.
A new global fitting option has also been included. Now, users can select the global fitting by color option to fit analyzed data by color where each color can represent different biosensors, samples, compounds, concentrations or other relevant parameters. The final fitting results can then be re-colored for easy viewing without affecting the fitting.
